GREAT WEBSITE, I WAS TRYING TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT & SPUN AROUND IN ROAD. AFTER COMING TO A STOP, MY CAR CUT OFF, IT DID START BACK UP ALONG WITH MY HEART, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOW ON. THE CAR SEEMS TO BE RUNNING FINE. COULD THE SPINNING AROUND & SLAMMING ON BRAKES HAVE CAUSED THE ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON. THANKS A MILL.

Hi Debbie,

Well, you could have just knocked something loose.
You can take a look under the hood at all the eletrical connections and make they are all connected. Also look under the car for same.

Then I would go by your local auto parts store and ask them to pull codes for you. Post codes here...
