I recently took my car into have a check engine light checked. The car felt & acted like the engine was misfiring. They told me I have to replace the distrubator, crack in the exhaust manifold, center pipe & co2 sensor. Totaling almost $2500 which is worth more then the car. Can I get away with just changing the distrubator. Im not trying to pass a emissions test. I would just like to get as much outta the car & put as little into it before having to scrap it.

Get a second opinion.

That quote is way too high. I would expect around $1000-$1500 for all that work. (if it is indeed needed).
