2000 Honda Civic Interior (dash light's) sometime's don't w

Sometime's when I turn the headlight's on my interior light's do not come. Will come on at some point while driving. Sometime's a day later or a few minute's. Had it at a garage but the light's were working at the time so they said there's not much they can do when there working. Any insight would be helpful it's really annoying. Thank's
