Engine starts but won't stay running for more than a few seconds. I am getting an error code Vtec malfunction. So far we have ruled out an oil problem. We are thinking it might be a fuel problem. Any suggestions?

Lets check the fuel pressure if its within specs if okay. Clean out the idle air control valve and EGR valve and test the throttle position sensor. Possible also a defective ignition switch
