I swapped the engine out of a 1996 Honda Civic and put it in my 2000 Honda Civic. I'm not getting fire to the plugs or fuel to the engine. What should I check or do?

Which distributor are you using? You can't put an obd2a distributor into an obd2b harness connector, so I assume you used the 2000 civic's distributor?

I used the 96 distributor and the wire harness & PCM from the 96. Should I use the fuse box under the hood from the 96? There's no place to plug in the fuse box plug into the PCM so I'm wondering if I should use the 96 fuse box and wire harness.

What you will have to do is use the OBD2B harness (the 2000 civic). You will also have to use the obd2b ECU, alternator and distributor since those two items have different harness clips on them.

I was told by a Honda mechanic that I needed everything electrical from the 96 and the fuse box. Please explain why you think it will work without the 96 fuse box.

Like I have already stated.

Use the obd2b engine harness, distributor, alternator and ECU and everything will be fine.

If you find any harness clips that don't fit onto the appropriate sensor tell me which sensor it is.
