Hi I have a 2000 civic and last Monday I was driving home from work for about 15 minutes at about 70 mph and then my car just lost power; I felt it go out of gear and stall. I tried to re-start and it wouldn't. So I called a tow truck, and after about 10 minutes (while I was waiting), got it to start up again. Had the garage look at it and ran all kinds of tests, put it on the diagnostic and only got a code for a cylinder mis-fire and catalytic converter O2 sensor failure. But my mechanic assures me that neither of these should be enough to cause it to stall completely, and is mystified as to what could be the culprit. Any other suggestions?

Hi chemkitty,

I woud suggest checking the main relay. Open it up and if the circuit board looks to have bad connections, resolder them.

Another item to check would be the ignition switch. Call Honda to see if your vehicle is listed under a recall for the parts.
