I just changed the air filter, oil filter, gas filter, and the 4 sparkplugs. Engine was timed also correctly, and the car works perfectly. Except: Whenever I go refill my tank of gasoline, and start my car again, I need to pump continually the gas pedal (or start running the engine right away) in order for the motor to keep going, otherwise it stalls. I need to make the car run a bit before the pressure seem to be back in the fuel system.

Is my fuel pump dead, or my gas lines glugged up with dirt? The old fuel filter was terribly dirty.

Thanks
Hugues

Hi there, if all the tune items are OK, and there are no set fault codes, (check this, as the light wont always come on) have a pressure & flow test done on the fuel system and get the rail pressure tested as well (static) as you may have a faulty pressure regulator. The check engine light is on because the computer has detected a problem with the engine or transmission or one of the sensor that monitors the system. This video and guide will help us find out what's going on.

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
