Is it possible to not know which sensor needs to be repaired after doing a computer diagnostic. I had a diagnostic done after my check engine light went on and was told I need both oxygen sensors replaced but they don't know which one

Hi Terada,

What was the trouble codes retrieved?

The exact trouble code would indicate which sensor is at fault. If both are required to be replaced, why is it that they do not know which ones?

Well they didn't tell me what the codes were. At first they said that both need to be repaired. Then they said that they could repair one (the primary one), then plug it in again to see if that fixed the problem. If it didn't fix it, then they would fix the other one.

Autozoner or some other major parts outlets provides free scanning services. Get the scan done and let me know the exact trouble code.
