2000 Honda Civic Engine Diagnostic Code

The 'check engine' light came on. I went to a local auto parts store where they offer free engine diagnostics.
The code from the test was 'Misfire Cylinder 2'.
Can you please tell me what this means?

Hello,

Could be a few things...

Bad Injector or Injector Harness.

Bad Spark Plug. When was last tune up

Bad Spark Plug Wire.

Bad Cap and Rotor

Vacuum Leak

it's actually time to schedule a tune up.
would this likely eliminate most of the problems/possibilities you've listed?

Yes, it will eliminate all but the Injector and Vacuum.
