2000 Honda Civic, VP with 145,000 miles and 1.6L engine. I sold my Car to a relative and provided them with the only keyless remote I had. I am the leinholder and am trying to repo the car for non-payment. I do have a key that unlocks the door and starts the car. Is there anyway to turn the alarm off without the keyless entry. I heard the the stereo has a buypass but the car does not have the original stereo in it. I also heard that once opening the door, you can disarm the alarm by pressing the unlock doors button on drivers door. Is that true?
Also, will the car start with the alarm going off?
I'm hoping I might just be able to drive the car the the dealer with the alarm going off and have them work on it once I get there.
thank you for any help I can get.
