After my a/c has been on for a while, when I come to stops my rpms drop really low and I begin to hear a clicking sound. The car seems as though it is about to shut off; but if you turn the a/c off everything is fine. I'm not sure what the problem is and how to resolve it.

Hi v. Greenejr,

You have a problem with the idling circuit and that is causing the AC compressor to cut in and out. The compressor requires a minimum idling rpm to stay engaged.

I would suggest cleaning the throttle body, IAC and idle adjust screw to stabilise the idling speed after it has warmed up.
