On this model you MIGHT have to remove the hub in order to R&R. However, on most you do not.
Simply hit the head of the wheel stud with a hammer and it will pop behind the hub, remove it and install the new one. But the lug nut on the stud and tighten it, making sure that the stud sits flush against the hub.
Now, I know you said wheel lug, but I'm pretty sure you meant wheel stud. The lug is the nut that threads onto the stud.
