Random stalling Will restart in 2-3 min

Runs well but stalls randomly. Will restart in 2-3 min. Engine will start, rev, and run normally with the starter engaged, but will die when the key is released. Will stall when RPM is below 1500 ?

Hello,

It sounds like it could be due to faulty crank distributor.
Lot of times corrosion within the distributor can trigger this type of issues.
Moisture can enter the system and corrode connectors and sensors.
That could lead to the distributor sending incorrect data to the ECM and that can trigger the engine shutdown.
