My car keeps overheating. Previous tech check pressure for leak and found no leak. He determine it was the radiator cap. That got replaced. Now car is still overheating. I have to top off my coolant every 2 days. The resevoir coolant is black color. The radiator cololant is normal color. Any ideas?

Hi there,

I would do a coolant flush, replace the thermostat, have the radiator professionally cleaned and get the system pressure tested again, if still a problem do a head check.

Does it make sense to do all that or should I just replace the radiator and thermostat?

If the radiator is blocked it will be cheaper to get it cleaned than buy a new one, but that is up to you.

Check hoes's, thermostat, gaskets, or water pump. That's the only thing runing coolant. Good luck
