Hi there,
I've been having some issues with my 1999 Honda Civic VP idling rough. I've been told the idle needs to be adjusted in order to make the vibrations go away and that this is a common issue among these cars. Problem is that I'm broke right now and need to do this myself, but don't know how. I know that I need to adjust the"idle screw" on the throttle body and that i will need to disconnect and reconnect the IAC valve in the process, etc etc. The thing is that I don't know much about the car or where these parts are located. I know that it would be best to use an RPM meter, but I do not have one. Can someone please help to give me some instructions on how to do this myself? The vibrations are driving me insane and I know what needs to be fixed, just not how to do so.

Hi jculp0623,

Different engine variants have different adjusting procedures. I would like to know the engine type in your vehicle.

Engine code would be the easiest to get the correct information.
