I was driving my civic a little hard and when I do it tends to have a harder time going into 3rd gear and will grind a little. This time it grinded abnormally more and after coming to a stop I tried to take off again but now my car will not go into 1st gear or any gear for that matter while the car is running. When the car is off it has no problem oing into any gear but for some reason it will not go into gear when the car is on. There is no smell of clutch and there was no smoke. Could I have blown my transmission?

Hi meandmycivic,

Mlost likely the clutch has failed. The disc could be bad due to its damper dislodging resulting ini them preventing the clutch from being released when the pedal is released.

Do you have sufficient clutch pedal pressure?
