Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Honda Civic 4 cyl Automatic 134000 miles

hello, My auto tech teacher at school looked over my car on the rack and noitced i have a rear main seal leak and he said the axle boot is torn open with no grease in it. Can i wait for both of these. The main seal has a small leak, few drips every night. Also when i get the rear main seal done eventually is there anything i can do to make it last longer? Ty

You can prolong it but on the rear seal you need to identify what caused it to leak

Could be the main bearings or the crankshaft, hard to say till you break it open
