1998 Honda Civic Leak in the trunk

Hello, I have 1998 honda civic 140000k and there seems to be a leak/rust in the back trunk. I checked it and it seems the water is coming from the back panels. what might be causing this and how can i fix and also their is bits of rust in the trunk how could i fix this? Thanks

Hi there,

check for water stains around the rear lights, also try playing a hose over the bot lid and look for signs of water getting past the seal. Wire brush loose rust away, and paint with a rust converter and prime and paint again.
