Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Honda Civic 4 cyl Manual 155000 miles

Failed smog, took to mechanic. they changed Spark plugs and did fuek Induction cleaning. now the car shutter just a little when it sits in neautral. the Check engine light keep coming on. the code is Idle Air control. I changed the IAC and I am still having all the problems. Could the spark plug or Fuel induction have caused this now existing shutter/hestitation, which is now also causing my car to shake when in second gear. Please Help.

Hi ladonducky,

After replacement of the IAC and if the code keeps coming back, either the wiring circuit has a fault or the PCM is bad. The initial bad IAC could have shorted the PCM. Remove the PCM and open the cover to check for burnt chips.
