1998 Honda Civic HONDA STOPS AFTER START.

I have a 1998 honda civic ex and the issue is that after the car has been sitting for a few hours when i start it starts fine it sputter a bit but when i come to a complete stop it shuts off, also when i tap the gas to go it kinda gives me a kinda kick and then it goes whats going?? The head gasket was replaced and after it was fixed thats when these trouble started i need help thanks for your time.

If the engine light is on, scan the vehicle. If not check fuel, spark and vacuum leaks.

I'd also check ignition and mechanical timing as well, just to make sure everything was set properly after the job.
