1998 Honda Civic Headlights and radio flicker on and off

My radio flickers off and on while driving the car. At night, I notice that when my radio flickers, the headlights flicker also and get really bright. This will last a few seconds to a few minutes. I usually hear some clicking in the engine at the same time this situation occurs.

I would suggest checking the charging system. Seems the charging rate might be poor due to a failing alternator.
