If the the crank sensor was damaged and didn't know
it, and the car begins to stall at stops and progressively gets worse to the point the car stalls on the freeway (going 65mph) resulting in replacing the battery; could this also affect the ignition switch?

Hi there,

It is no good trying to second guess these faults, best to start at the beginning of any electrical diagnosis, do a scan and advise of any set fault codes.
