I went to have a smog test and it was found out that I have a problem with the catalytic converter. The "check engine" light is on the dashboard. My question is: is it ok and safe to drive long distance with this condition? I appreciate your help. Thank you.

PS. I would love to donate but I can't at this time since I have been unemployed.
