Hi,
Whenever the windshield washer is used on this car it streaks the windshield, even when using new fresh windshield washer fluid. I think that maybe after 12 years the fluid reservoir and/or rubber tubing is contaminated but of course I'm not sure. Should I replace everything or is there some other solution? It's very annoying to my 20 year old daughter who drives the car. Maybe a decontamination liquid of some sort.
Thanks for your help.

I've had this when someone put antifreeze in the tank before.

I had to keep washing the tank out with Dawn brand dish soap and water.

And then clean the windshield with rubbing alcohol.

Thanks for your help. But I need clarification. How will I get the cleaning liquid out? Do I just put the Dawn dishwasher detergent and water into the washer reservoir and squirt it out using the windshield washer from inside the car or do I somehow remove the reservoir and clean it out that way? Please advise.

I never would have thought of using rubbing alcohol on the windshield. Will do asap.

If you cant remove the tank easily then take your garden hose and stick it in the opening for the tank as far as you can, and just let it run for a while.
