Hi, my speedometer has stopped working, it will shoot up really high (110km/h+) when I accelerate then return to zero. My check engine light is on, and I've noticed my car has a really rough idle. Going from a stop, I've noticed it doesn't seem to have the same pick-up that it did before, and seems to jolt slightly. Any tips?

Skip the speedometer until you get the vehicle running right. Any time the check engine light comes on is a time to be concerned. Autozone will pull the codes for you and you can let us know what they are.
