Transmission problem
1997 Honda Civic 4 cyl Manual 117000 miles

My mecahnic quoted $775 to replace transmission (parts, labor and tax) in my 1997 Honda Civic. It is 13 years old and has 117,000 miles on it, which really isn't a lot for a Honda to blow a transmission. If I repaired it I would like to get another 5-7 years out of the car. Would this be a realistic expectation or should I opt for a new car and is the quote from my mecahnic fair?

Everthing you said seems to be correct. I don't know if the vehicle would last another 7 years, but it'll last you for a while.
