1997 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

will a 2000 civic ex ecu work in a 1997 civic lx 4 door manual transmission

If you have the EX or SI as well. you could use it but i would just get the one for your car. the diff is vtec and the dizzy. as the 2000 ex has a d16y8 wich has vtec. from 1996-2000 they used the d16y7 and d16y8 motors. you have the y7 motor wich is a non vtec car.
