What would be a fair price range for replacement of cracked CV boots?

Cv boot alone although they can be replaced, because the joint is contaminated, they should be disassembled cleaned, and rebuilt, so it's cheaper to replace the entire axle with a rebuilt one, usually $80 dollars for the axle and 1 hour labor or so. Possibly some transmission fluid if it comes out during replacement!

Yep I agree with MERLIN2021, it is best to replace the CV axle instead, here is how the job is done it case you need it. Here is a video to help you step by step with instructions in the diagrams below to show you how on your car.
