i have a 97 honda civic with a b18b motor. the car has been running great and pushes good torque. recently the car has been feeling like its choking when i hit the accelarator i have to keep tappin the pedal n ill will pick up speed. the gears are fine i know its not a transmission problem because reverse works fine and first n second. the car just looses power so cant really go more than 40mph now idk y. the throttle cable is loose and when the throttle handle moves the cable slips outa place and gets stuck could that be the problem?

Yes that is definately your problem. Try adjusting the cable if it is still in good shape.
