1997 Honda Civic
i'm stumped. the rpm on my car jumps and pulls down while in idle and occasionally when driving, when i'm in the first few gears the car doesn't seem to have a lot of power and is slower taking off.(i get honked at a lot) and the engine light is on but only blinks when i'm at high acceleration and stops when i let off the gas. i've changed the oil, checked for exposed and wet wires, checked the distributer, and found a little oil in the air filter comming from the engine. before i take it to a mechanic and get the run aroung, what do you think it could possibly be????
