I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 200K MILES ON IT. NOW ITS 300K. IM PLANNING TO TRAVEL A LONG DISTANCE SOON. IM WORRIED MY FUEL PUMP OR ALTERNATOR WILL FAIL. HOW MANY MILES DOES A FUEL PUMP AND ALTERNATOR NEED BEFORE REPLACEMENT? Most of the other parts I have already replaced. I DONT WANT TO CHANGE THE PARTS WITHOUT ASKING THE EXPERTS COZ I KNOW THE PUMP IS COSTLY. TNX PROS.

Well, they are meant to last a very long time.

You can test the fuel pump with a pressure/volume test. And you can test the alternator with an AVR test. If they both pass, I wouldn't bother replacing them.
