1996 Honda Civic engine knocking

my check engine light came on so I ran the diagnostics on it and it said knock sensor bank 1 p0328. the guys at shucks said the sensor could be going out is there a cheaper solution to try first.

Hi there,

If the knock sensor has failed the ECU will not adjust the ignition timing when it starts to ping, this will cause poor performance, poor fuel economy and you run the chance of burning a hole in a piston from the detonation, get it fixed properly.
