i m planning to install an electric supercharger. i tested the device to be giving more than 2 psi. how do i keep the brake boosters from loosing vacuum so that the brakes remain soft? note: the supercharger is an improvised type,manually swithched on/off.is there any other way i can take vacuum to the brakes.

Hi axis,

At idling there should be vacumn as no supercharging is required. Just make sure there is no boost during idling and all should be well.

tnx.i would just have to find a way to provide automatic switching for this charger. any suggestions.

There used to be a sort of rpm sensor relay. Previously it was used to engage the A/C compressor when a certain rpm is achieved. Do not know if the part is still available.

Yuo can adjust the relay to start working at desired engine rpm so it is going to be rather easy if you can get hold of the part. If not you can get anyone who is good with electronics to fabricate one for you.
