Where does it sound like the noise is coming from? Does it change pitch when your brake? Turn the wheel side to side?
It could be a bad wheel bearing, tire, an accessory belt or pulley, or even a cracked windshield.

When I brake the noise disappears it is only heard at low speeds on a very smooth road.
Have tried pumping the tyres up to see if that was the reason but no difference.
No noise when I turn the front wheels from side to side.
The noise appears to be coming from the front of the engine altho hard to say.
