When I accelerate my car studders as if the clutch was slipping, but I had just recently replaced my clutch twice, thinking that that was the problem. It only studders from 1000rpm to about 4100rpm then it picks up at high rpm. It does this to all the gears. When the car is cold it will drive with only a very small amount of studdering until the engine is hot. Need Help ASAP.

Hi khamxiong,

When the clutch is fully engaged, it should not stutter, at half clutch maybe so I am rulling it out.

It should be more of a sparking or fuel problem.
Check the spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel pressure.

If the check engine light is showing, get a scan done.

Thanks, I will try changing spark plugs and wires. But if that doesn't change it, how do check fuel pressure? What tool do I need. Trying to find an OBD1 code reader for honda's is hard. PLease let me know. Thanks.

Hi khamxiong,

You need a pressure gauge to test the fue pressure.

ODB1 you don't need any scanner, just looping the service check connector will do.

Well it was the spark plugs. The spark plug in my 4th cylinder was so loose and rusted that it wasn't sparking right. I can't believe I didn't catch that. Dang. Well thanks for all the help.
