How long should it realistically take a technician to replace an exhaust manifold on a 1995 Honda Civic EX? I was told by a national chain that it would cost about $350 for parts and labor. I've checked several parts suppliers and the most expensive non-performance manifold runs about $130-$175. It just seems unreasonable that it would cost just as much, if not more, in labor than the part itself.
Also, the mechanic noticed this while replacing my O2 sensor. He said I should get my fuel injector flushed as this goes "hand in hand" with the O2 sensor replacement. Is this BS or is this something I should do?

the labor guide calls for .8 hrs to replace the manifold, but that doesnt take into account any broken bolts, they are extra and I have never seen a guideline for what a shop will charge for that. Was the manifold they quoted you from the dealer, might be a little more if it was, around 270.00.The gasket is 22.00 and the flange gasket to the pipe is 20.00.Cleaning the fuel injection is a good idea to keep it clean and working efficiently.
