1995 Honda Civic Exhaust Leak?

I just bought this 95 coupe for my first car. I have been noticing there have been several loud noises comeing from the car. Now I practically have to floor it just to get the car to go. It takes a very long time just for it to even get up to 20 mph. Also, the gas bottoms out really fast on this car, which I know it shouldn't. My friends all own hondas and figure it could be a exhaust leak or the timing is messed up. What do you think?

If the timing is off, the overall performance of the car would be poor and the vehicle would be idling very rough.

If there is an exhaust leak, you will be able to hear it.

When's the last time you did a tune-up?
