when I step on the break pedal only the third brake light comes on, check all the fuses, couldn't find one for the brakes, put new bulbs in and cleaned the terminal sockets, hellp

Hi kiphorton,

Both side brake lights are connected with the third light and if the sockets are rusty, most probably it is due to poor contact.

Check and see if the centre wire of the sockets are stuck resulting in no contact when the bulbs are installed.

Test for power supply to the bulb socket.
