1994 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a oil leak and was told I needed to replace the oil pan gasket and the main rear seal on my 1994 Honda civic EX. What is involved in doing this? Do they have to drop the transmission to do this? if so what kind of cost can I expect ? I don't want to get ripped off because I am ignorant when it comes to things like this.
Thanks,
Dave Newton

To do the rear main seal you must drop the transmission. This is about a 5-6hours job. To remove an oil pan, it is about a 1.8hr job.
