My sons car would just stop running while he was driving. I had the distributor, spark plugs, spark plug wires and oxygen sensor replaced. 600 miles later same problem and they said they had a hard time finding it but traced it to my electronic ingition that was replaced for 645.00. Next day same problem they said they had got a faulty distributor and also changed a coolant sensor. Got car back and it was using twice the gas for a week but then died if you gave it gas. (It would start back up) now they say the ECM is shot and needs to get replaced. Please help I bought a Honda for my son becasue they are suppossed to be so dependable.

The best way to find the problem is to catch it on the act when it dies-you immediately check for spark and fuel one of this is gonna be missing and go from there.
