Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 155K miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Is it possible to remove the crankshaft from a 93' Civic 1.5L automatic without removing the engine from the car ? The crankshaft pulley has spun free of the crankshaft . . . otherwise it is a completely viable running car.

Thanks,

Hi dijitwrx,

It is possible to but you need to remove the trans assy.

The pulley has spun free because of a loose/broken bolt and missing lock key? If the damage is not too bad, a new pulley, lock key and new bolt properly torqued would get the car running again.
