1992 Honda Civic Radiator fan is not working

My car radiator fan is not working.
i am not sure whether the fan should run as soon as i start my car or it will automatically run when the radiator gets hot.

but on the other end i drove about 30 miles and checked that the radiator was not runing.

it will come on and turn off every so often when sensor notices its at the proper temp. to do so. easy way to check the fan is to turn A/C on high, this will (should) turn the fan on immediately.
