Hi,
My name is Ted. Your best bet on a job like this is to rent a Service Manual for your car from,
" Mitchell1. Com. It's only $15.00 for a week & gives you step by step instuctions. I will tell you what I can but I highly reccomend renting manual also. TURN STEERING WHEEL ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT. Under Dash, you may have to pull back floor carpet. Look for the U-joint that connects the rack to the steering wheel coloum. USE A PUNCH OR SCRIBE. MARK THE UPPER & LOWER PART OF THE JOINT & END OF STEER COLOUM. Remove the two bolts. Slide joint up off the rack shaft. Under the vehicle. If you have pwr. Steering, of course you have to diconnect fluid lines, be very carefull, you will have to bend them just a little bit out of the way. Pop tie rod ends out of steer knuckle. If you don't have a tool, after you remove the nuts, hit the frame part of where tie rod ends go in. You can leave nuts on a few threads so in case hammer slips, you will not damage threads. Remove tie rod ends from rack assy. Remove bracketts mounts that secure rack to frame. Remove rack assy. Out through the Driver Side of vehicle. I think I mentioned everything. Feel free to call me. Please do not give my number out. If I don't answer, please leave a message and I will call you back. Good Luck. 1-607-423-0271 Verizon Wireless.
