1992 Honda Civic battery

hello, i have a honda civic hatch back 1992 cx or ccx not sure but i had it running and i shuit it off when i tried to srat again it wouldnt like the battery was dead so my friend and i tried to boost it but he put the cables on wroong on the civic but right on the focus we were usin to boost now it wont charge the battery at all ,did it just kill the battery complety? or did it mess somthing else up in the car possibly starter? alternator? if you can help me out write back thank you

Check all the main fuses in under hood fusebox and also the grounding straps.
