1992 Honda Civic

I have a Honda Civic and I was driving on the highway today the engin light came on, so when I got to work I turned the car off and and turned it back on the engin light did not come on. Just trying to get an idea what you may think it is.

Sounds like a light that is trying to warn you about something. The light has a purpose and though it came on and then went off it is going to come back. Next time get the code associated with the light. It will save you some heartache down the road.
