the heating in my car work FANTASTIC some of the time and not at all others.. wondering if i should swap out the heater core, the fan, both or what exactly to do.. maybe the controls? it is just very temper-mental and wondering if there is a way to test? any help would be great! thanks!

I need some additional information to understand the problem and would like to ask some questions pertaining to the heater.

1. You mentioned "not at all", is it the blower does not work, no air coming out?
2. Does the A/C works?
