1991 Honda Civic broken hood release

i have a broken hood release on my 91 honda civic. any suggestions on how to open the hood? also, should i expect any trouble when replacing the hood release cable?

Hi there,

If it has broken under the dash, you should be able to grab the cable with pilers to open, if not accessible , you will have to try and access it from under the front of the car, even if you can locate the cable and pull it down enough to get hold of the inner cable , or you will just have to try and trip the latch with a long screw driver, your panel shop may be able to assist you here. Fitting a new cable will not be a problem .
