1990 Honda Civic I need help with my engine

I changed the water pump and about a week later there was a knocking noise comin from engine so I took it the a shop in alvin and they told me that the harmonic balancer was lose and it ate two theeth off the crank and they gave the car back to me in pieces now I need help to fix my problem please I need help it is my only car I need to get it fixed if you want you can call me at 281 617 8547 thank you

If the crank sprocket is what you are talking about, then you must pull the engine and put it on a stand to fix it. A special puller is necessary to remove this sprocket.

I don't see how a loose harmonic pulley will rip two teeth off the crank sprocket. I've seen crank pulleys come off.

Have you physically seen what they are talking about? I am a bit skeptical to say the least.

FYI next time you torque that pulley, you need a special crank holder tool and you must torque that bolt to 180ft/lbs. Honda recommends you replace the bolt everytime you do the timing belt as well.
