1990 Honda Civic falling apart

my shifter rod came off at the selecter so i put a bolt in to get home but will only go in 3rd and 4th does this sound like tranny or clutch ? keeping in mind my clutch was at the last adjustment.

Will first fix the shifter linkage. Anything that's a bit off in the shifter will affect your shifting.

If you are sure the linkage is fine, it sounds like a transmission or clutch issue.
