Brakes problem
1989 Honda Civic Two Wheel Drive Manual

I am trying to replace the rotors on my 89 honda civic for salvalge title. The 2 phillips head scrows that are holding the rotors in place are completely tight and striped and I cant get them off. How do I get these scrows out?

Get a good sharp punch, first indent the face of the screw near the outter edge. Then hold the punch a bit on an angel facing counter-clockwise. What you are trying to do is to hit the screw loose with the punch. Make sure the indent is big enough so the punch will not slip when you try to hit the screw loose.

If it's rusted on, try applying heat first then try knocking it loose. If you still cant get it out, you'll have to drill that sucker out. But usually they come out with ease.
